On Honeymoon…

We are on our honeymoon and relaxing. So no blogging for a little while!

Wedding, Aim, Fire!

Merry Christmas everyone! Well, the wedding happened with nary a hitch, which just confirms that I married the right girl. This isn’t the place for me to write about it, so just ask me in person. Now it’s Chrismas with the family. Tom found some USB missile launchers (see picture), so I attached a small […]

Errands…

Today was errands day. Seeing as I’m coming down with something and I’ve only got two unmarried days left, I took a sick day and ran errands. Hair. My hair keeps growing, and I haven’t worked out how to stop it. Hence I got the nuptial haircut. Drinks. We needed some non-alcoholic drink for our […]

Power, bikes, toys and dancing…

As I was leaving for the motorcycle show this morning there seemed to be a fairly good power outage again. I wonder what the deal was this time. The show wasn’t that interesting (I didn’t find a good helmet with a good vendor simultaneously), and Michael and I had more fun in the Tech Musem […]

Racoon…

This was eating the cat food tonight. It seemed quite friendly/unconcerned about us standing around it. (Dad took the photo.)

Sleeping…

Had a little bit of difficulty sleeping last night because I was in the new room, which still smelled slightly of paint. Pilgrim the cat isn’t allowed in the new room. But the kicker was The bedspread CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) wouldn’t validate. Oh dear.

Ending texturing…

A lot happened today. Lastly, the texturing: Well, they said it would be messy, and it was. But it turned out nice, and used 2.5 little hoppers of mud. There is also so, so much innuendo that’s just very tempting to mention about the process, but you can make that stuff up yourself easily. The […]

Beginning texturing…

Several years ago, when I built the media room, I made a screen by removing the texture from the wall and skim coating a flat surface on it. It worked pretty well, but I’m moving the room upstairs which means I have to re-texture the wall. This should be straightforward: it’s about 40 square feet […]

Moving furniture…

Today we moved Sara’s bulky furniture to my house. She had rented a 10ft bed truck—of course they gave us a 16ft bed which was harder to maneuver downtown where she lives. But we got it loaded up with junk… …which we took to the dump. We did manage to fit nearly all the furniture […]
